Street food carts capture so much of a city’s landscape. I often marvel at the wide assortment of these carts that I see, just out and about work in New York City. Unfortunately, I quite often never have my camera, sure there the phone, but I have a hard time taking pictures for the blog with the phone, except the restaurant pictures. This street cart on the streets of Philadephia was different!
Anyhow, last week, I was in DC for a few days. I had stopped at Philladephia on the way, with the kids. Aadi, had wanted to see the liberty bell, actually specifically the crack on the bell. This cart caught my attention, with the typical cheesesteak sign. I did not eat from it, but still think it characterized the city and its specialty well.
So, here it is in monochrome, for the new host of Black and White Wednesday, Cinzia. I am sorry it is moving, but I am sure it well settle down happily in its new home.
I love this event and have not been able to join for a while and guess what, for a change I will not blame this on the book. I look forward to seeing more galleys and round ups since I think it brings some interesting perspectives.
